Students began to review for the WWII test which is tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday (6/3). Students will be allowed to use their notes on the test, however, students have been encouraged to organize their notes since test questions will be in the order the notes were taken.

Students began to view a video of the PBS series "The American Experience" about the Battle of the Bulge. It includes first-hand accounts and interviews from soldiers who fought in the Battle of the Bulge as well as footage of the battle and a narration. This video will take a few days to complete. Students have a study guide to complete as they watch. We will discuss this study guide at the completion of the video. Students will receive a grade for this study guide and will also be able to use the study guide on the WWII test.

WWII Lecture continues... today we discussed Pearl Harbor, the Battle of Stalingrad, and the beginning of D-Day. Students receive points for turning in their notes.

Today we finalized our Arthropod Activities. All Invertebrate charts and vocabulary are allowed as notes for the test on Friday. Students took their Human Growth and Development test in class today. Students who were gone due to the track meet need to make up the test druing a study hall or come in after school on Tuesday to take the test.

Students began the American Red Cross First Aid & Safety class today. Upon successful completion of the class, students will be certified for First Aid and Adult CPR. Students learned about how to recognize an emergency and reasons why people do not react in a situation.
