If the assignment is not completed on the day it is due, there will be a loss of 10% on the final grade. Students were made aware that this change is effective beginning today. It has been such a great week! This week, we have gone over policies for my classroom, and have taken some time to explore what to expect this year in science. The students have already completed a bio glyph and are working on a packet due Friday, September 11. This packet (Making Connections) is worth the same amount of points that a test is, so it is important that they follow directions, take their time and put thought into their answers. We have been working on it in class both yesterday and today. There may be a short amount of time next week to work on it as we finish up for the period, but some will have to be completed at home. It is a longer term assignment, so they will need to budget their time. I am reminding them everyday :) Also, by Tuesday, their books need to be covered. I have been offering paper covers - they seem to do the best job - but a stretchy cover is fine as long as it is XL or JUMBO size. Have a great weekend...Make Good Choices!
