7th Grade Math

Lesson 8-5, pages 356-357. Problems 11-29, 33-38.

Pre-Algebra

Applied Math

Lesson 63- Unit Multipliers and Unit Conversion
Assignment: Metric Unit Conversion Worksheet. Lesson 63 practice problems (a-f, p. 285) can be completed for extra credit.

Social Studies 8

Review/Notes for Chapter 15, Section 2.
Pre-writing work for Autobiography Project was checked today for a grade. Students with nothing prepared received a "0" grade.
We will finish Chapter 15 on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be spent in the computer lab so students can write/edit/publish their projects. Writing projects will be due on Monday, April 14, but can be turned in at any time beginning Thursday, April 10. Students going on the band trip have been informed that their writing projects will be due the day they return, and have been encouraged to turn the project in early if at all possible.

Assignment: Read Section 3 (p. 488-492) Answer p. 492 #1-3. Take notes on Section 3 for Writing Project.

Social Studies 7

Students who scored under 80% on the History Test last week completed the retest while the rest of the class continued viewing the video, Anne Frank.

Science 7

Students completed the Soil presentations to their group and took a group "quiz" in order to determine the quality of the information presented.
The test on Chapter 2 will be on Thursday.

Science 8

We reviewed Protists today with a concept mapping team activity. I also gave the classes a surprise POP Quiz on protists. The review, notes and worksheets were allowed as notes. Have a great weekend!

Literature 8

First Hour: I Am The Cheese...worked on a review of the last two reading sections. Pages 22-53
Second Hour: And Then...None: We discussed and added to our character chart and the students were assigned a review of chapters 3-4.

Algebra

Students took chapter 9 quiz. Homework is worksheet 9.3, evens.

7th grade math

Lesson 8.4, pages 352-353. Problems 11-31.

Pre-Algebra

Chapter 10 test today. No homework.

Social Studies 7

Students continued viewing the movie Anne Frank.

Science 7

Students presented Soil information to their small goup.

Applied Math

Basic Facts practice in Multiplication and Division.
Lesson 62 - Order of Operations (Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)

Social Studies 8

Causes of the Civil War video and study guide.
Chapter 4 Tests were handed back.
Assignment: Make sure pre-writing for Sections 1 and 2 for autogiography project are complete. Pre-writing will be checked on Monday for a grade!

Pre-Algebra

Reviewed for chapter 10 test. Students were given a review to take home to study from. Chapter 10 test and notes due tomorrow.

7th grade math

Students took chapter 8 mid-chapter test and quiz. No homework.

Algebra

Lesson 9.3 part 2, pages 522-524. Problems 54, 58, 65, 66, 69-71, and quiz 1 1-25. Quiz tomorrow.

Language Arts 7 L.D.

We continued studying and identifying subjects and predicates in regular-order sentences. We are also working on rewriting poorly written sentences and learning to write a paragraph that infers what happened in the missing picture.
