After correcting our assignment we had a plant cell review activity. Today we also reviewed photosynthesis. I asked the students to illustrate the process for an assignment. An example can be found in their text book on page 118.

Literature 8

First Hour: I Am The Cheese...We finished reading the next section (Pages 96-115) A review question assignment was given.
Second Hour: And Then There Were None...Quiz on chapters 1-9.

Health 7

Students learned about inhalant abuse and inhalant prevention in class today.

Health 8

Students should be studying their muscles and bones diagrams for daily pop quizes.

Today in class we went over the FITT Acronym and Principles of Training.

On Thursday and Friday, students should be dressed to work-out as we will be working out and monitoring our target heart rate during the activity. Students must complete the graph worksheet after the workout.

7TH GRADE FRENCH

WELCOME TO THE WEEK OF APRIL 14. CLASSES COMPLETED THE RECREATION CULTURELLE PACKET FOR THE GEOGRAPHY UNIT. NEXT CLASS PERIOD BOTH CLASSES WILL HAVE A GEOGRAPHY QUIZ WITH A WORD BANK. ONE MAP WILL BE OF FRANCE AND THE STUDENTS WILL LOCATE TEN MAJOR CITIES AND THE OTHER WILL BE A MAP OF THE UNITED STATES LOCATING THE ROUTE OF THE FRENCH FUR TRAPERS. OF COURSE, ALL OF THOSE LOCATIONS HAVE FRENCH NAMES. REMEMBER THAT FRENCH MEETS EVERY OTHER DAY SO DEPENDING ON WHICH DAY YOUR CHILD HAS FRENCH, THE QUIZ WILL BE THIS WEEK EITHER THURSDAY OR FRIDAY.

Students completed the Reading Packet for the Geography Unit in class today.

Science 7

Chapter 3, Erosion and Deposition was introduced. Students took notes about mass movements of rock and soil. Their assignment was to complete questions 1 and 2 on page 69 in the text.

Science 8

An introduction to plants. The students took notes and were assigned a chapter 4.1 review worksheet. Each class had at least 15 minutes to work on the assignment. Those that used their work time...finished!

Literature 8

First Hour: I Am The Cheese...We reviewed our book at mid-chapter and took a quiz.
Second Hour: And Then There Were None...We reviewed the main characters and started reading chapter 9 in class. The students need to finish reading the last few pages of chapter nine and prepare for the quiz on Wednesday.

Algebra

Worksheet 9.6 extra practice.

7th grade math

Practice test on page 365, problems 1-20. Go over test review that was handed out today as a study guide for tomorrow's test.
