We did Chapter 2.1 together. If students plan and use work time properly there should be little to no outside of class work time needed.

Today due to operator confusion ;) we had a change in plans. We reviewed the events from Friday and that lead right into the reading of section 2.5, Precipitation. Students were actively involved in discussions! There was an assignment, pg 65 the section 5 assessment. Students were given class time to complete this, most finished. If not, it is due tomorrow in their notebooks.

Science 7
As a class, we completed our discussions on the Water in the Atmosphere - during which we talked about the water cycle, humidity and relative humidity, and various types of cloud formations.
Students shared their projects today in class and were able to hear about the different choices that they had not performed. We also looked online at the importance of clean groundwater and how that affects us here in Wisconsin.
Finally, some classes had a few extra minutes and we played the Droplet Game. Students had to answer questions about the water cycle in order to play a game that moved "droplet" through the various stages of the water cycle. Many students asked for the link, so this is where to find it:
You do not have to download the game, you can just play it online.
The only homework students will have is if they did not finish the tic-tac-toe assignment that was given on Monday.

Have a great weekend....Make good choices!
Social Studies 7
Today in class, we continued with our learning of sociology. The students completed their assignment from the 4th to 9th readings in our book.

All students saw their quarter grades. The class was given an article titled "Why Leaves Change Color" to read alone or with a partner and complete a note/outline assignment. They had the entire class period to finish. Only those who didn't finish have homework.
This article ties in with our chapter two...starting Monday!
