We reviewed pedigrees and punnett squares today. An independent practice was assigned. Many students, who used their work time, finished in class.

Student took Human Growth and Development test.

Map Quiz and Note Check for Chapter 12 today. Review of Ch. 12, Sections 4-5. Today students participated in the Caterpillar review for all of Chapter 12. The Chapter 12 Quiz is tomorrow.
All content and activites for the semester/quarter are listed on the board. (2nd Quarter/1st semester ends January 22) Students have a lot of content to cover, but not a lot of homework, so they have been encouraged to keep up with the pace of the class.

Science 7
Today we nearly wrapped up our discussion on Rocks and Weathering. The students continued to work on the Rocks and Weathering sheet today. It is due on Monday, so if needed it will be completed at home this weekend.

Social Studies 7
We continued our discussion and video on the ICEMAN in class today. We looked at all the various sciences and fascinating discoveries that were made from this finding.
Science 8
The students shared information about the genetic disorder they researched. Pedigrees were introduced and a practice assignment was given.
Applied Math 7
Lesson 44: Proportions

Ch. 12 maps were returned to students and we located the 12 countries that will be on Monday's Map Quiz. There will also be a note check on Monday. We discussed Section 3 (France and the Benelux Countries) and reviewed Sections 1-2. The Chapter 12 Quiz will be next Tuesday.
Assignment: Read Sections 4-5 (Germany and the Alpine Countries, The Nordic Countries) and complete the purple study guide packet. Take your maps and study guides home to study over the weekend!

Science 8
Discussed our 4.1 notes. Assignment was to complete 4 different punntett squares and the questions that go with them.
Science 7
Today we went over the Key Terms and Concepts from section 2.1. We also discussed and corrected the GRS 2.1 Rocks and Weathering. There are no assignments coming home as homework tonight.
Social Studies 7
We continued watching an Anthropology special about the found "ICEMAN." Students took notes during the video, and also while we discussed the video.
