Literature 8

First Hour: Today's assignment was corrected in class and we read chapter 5 together. Extra Credit was offered: Illustrating one of the characters or his house or the pig collection.

Second Hour: We discussed chapter 3 and read chapter 4. Respond to the "accusations" and complete study questions for chapter 4. Vocabulary for chapters 1-3 was assigned and is due Tuesday.

Social Studies 8

American Revolution Test

No homework - an excellent opportunity to catch up on anything missing. New grade sheets were posted today so students are aware of their current grades and what they are missing, if anything. Skyward is also up to date so parents can double check.

We learned the Spanish words for the colors today. We practiced the pronunciations. Students were given time to practice with partners. We played a game to review the colors.

There will be a quiz on the colors the middle of next week. No homework assignment.

We completed reading in our text about and taking notes on the major battles of the Revolution.
Homework: Complete the two-map assignment (Major Battles of the Revolution & the Treaty of Paris). Remember that neatness, spelling, and following directions all count as part of the assignment grade. Review your notes for Monday's test!

Students who were unsuccessful on the Taxonomy Quiz had a reteaching day and retake quiz.

All students were given a short reading (pages 30-33) and review assignment for chapter 1.4. Vocabulary terms were given to make a Bingo Card with...define them for extra credit!
Study for the chapter 1 test on Tuesday!

Literature 8

First Hour...We discussed chapter four responses and had a surprise quiz to see how well we have been listening. Literary terms and vocabulary for chapters 1-4 were assigned with plenty of work time given.

Second Hour...We thoroughly discussed chapter two and read chapter 3 in class. Students will need to finish the questions and character chart for Monday.

8th gr. Spanish FLEX

We discussed the homework assignment on page 8 in the textbook. We read and discussed pages 9, 12, and 13. We practiced counting from zero to thirty-nine.

Pre-Algebra

Mid-chapter practice on page 284. Problems 1-10. Page 630, lesson 6-4 and 6-5. Worksheet is extra credit. Test, quiz and notes tomorrow.
