7th Grade Math-Mr. Smith
Students took quiz today. Homework is to finish test form D and study for test. Chapter 7 test and notes tomorrow.
Algebra
Students took chapter 8 quiz. Homework: Chapter 8 review. Pages 494-496. Problems 2-46 evens. Chapter 8 test tomorrow and notes.
Science 7
We were in the lab today. Students are continuing to finish their final visual aid, and worksheet for tomorrow.
7th hour: Those that are not working in a group are working on making key term flashcards on the computer.

Today students took the 2nd quiz for chapter 7. Their assignment for tonight is the Practice test on pg 329, #'s 1-25.

Our Fungi review assignment was corrected. Today we spent time viewing different specimen from the Fungi and Protista Kingdoms. A Fungi structure assignment was also given but is not homework. We will be completing that between microscope use/observations.

We almost have finished the short story Flowers for Algernon. The students were given a study packet which is due tomorrow at the end of class. Each day they have been given some class time to work on it and ask questions if needed.
Social Studies 8
Students investigated both sides to the question "Did South Carolina have the right to secede from the Union?"

Science 7
Students today continued to work on their chapter presentations. The groups are doing a great job and worked very hard in the computer lab today! Remember that on Friday your rough draft for the review and quest are due. We have been working on this in class all last week, and will continue for the rest of this week, into next week.
Some in 7th hour worked on making flashcards for Erosion and Deposition.

Conflict Over Slavery Maps due today. Review of notes. Our topic today was "The Nation Divides."
Assignment: Students were given a portion of an article which gives background information on the issue of states' rights. Students should read the article and answer the questions on the back page in order to be prepared for tomorrow's activity.
Note: ALL Social Studies classes were made aware that any student who is still missing work (including today's assignment) will be required to stay after school, starting tomorrow, until their work is made up, or 3rd Quarter ends. Students are responsible for arranging transportation if needed.
