English/Literature 7

In literature class (periods 3 & 4) students finished either "A Brief Moment in the Life of Angus Bethune" or a fictional short story of their choice. The students began working on an elements of plot worksheet. This worksheet is designed to have the students break the short story down (dissect it, if you will) into the important parts (i.e., setting, rising action, climax, etc.)

Homework! Many students did not finish the elements of plot worksheet, so I informed them to do what they can at home tonight and be ready to fill in the blanks tomorrow during our discussion.

Literature 8

We did a book summary in small groups, shared our findings and voted to read The Pigman in both first and second hours.
