Health 8

the skeletal amd muscular system were introduced today as and introduction to our fitness unit. Students should be studying their diagrams every might until their test. Daily pop quizes are fair game until test time.

Health 7

Students finished watching the video "The Truth About Drinking". We discussed alternatives to drinking. Students should complete the handout from the video for homework.

Science 8

We reviewed our Field Trip and Human Body Unit. Introduction to Protists and Fungi.
No Homework

Pre-Algebra

Chapter 10 review on pages 505-506. Problems 7-36. Quiz on Wednesday and test on Thursday.

Literature 8

First hour began "I Am the Cheese" by Robert Cormier and second hour started "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie
No Homework Today

7th grade math

Lesson 8-3, pages 347. Problems 5-14. Extra Credit is 1-4. Mid-chapter test and quiz on Wednesday.

Algebra

Lesson 9.1, pages 507-510. Problems 32-88, 111-112.

Language Arts - 8 (3/31-4/4)

This week we are watching a movie, Iron Will, which has the same themes as the story we finished before break. During the movie, we will be taking notes on three positive characteristics the main character displays which contribute to his ability to participate in a dog sled race. On Thursday, we will use these notes to write an in-class essay.

The vocabulary for this week will be a little different from the past. The remainder of the vocabulary words for this year will be based around root words. We will be doing some practice activities with different prefixes, roots, and suffixes. The practice packets will be due on Friday.

Social Studies 7

Students worked on a History Review sheet in preparation for Wednesday's test.

Science 7

Students who needed more time to complete the map skills test did so today. The remainder of the students viewed the film, Avalanche. The tests will be given back tomorrow along with an update of their current 3rd quarter grade.

Applied Math

Lesson 60 - Rectagular Area (Part 2)
Students learned how to find the area of a complex quadrilateral by splitting it into smaller rectangles, then adding all the areas together.

Assignment: p. 639-640 (Lesson 60) #1-4 - SHOW ALL WORK

Social Studies 8

Students were given presentation grades. Today, class time was spent reviewing for the Chapter 4 test which is tomorrow! Students worked in groups to complete a review sheet. Extra credit points were awarded for use on the test tomorrow.
