Algebra

Reviewed exponents and raising a power to another power. Homework is Lesson 8.1 part 2, page 454-455, problems 75-82 and 86-105.

7th Grade Math

Went over conversions with fractions and percents. Showed students how to change a percent to it's equivalent fraction. Then showed them how to go from a fraction to a percent. Homework is Lesson 7-5, page 315, problems 13-39.

Pre-Algebra

Reviewed two-step equations with students. Homework is practice lesson 10-2 on page 640, problems 1-30.

7th and 8th Grade Art

7th Grade Art: A demonstration was given in class today on watercolor painting. Students are expected to be at the point of experimenting with the techniques so that they can begin finalizing their self-portrait projects.

8th Grade Art: Students continued cutting out shapes for their stained glass piece.

Social Studies 7

Students presented their reports to the class. Please note that the grades on this report will not be reflected on the Progress Report being sent home this week. All grades needed to be in by Monday and the History Reports were not due until Monday.

Science 7

Students viewed a film about the earth's physical features and completed the study guide which accompanied it. The assignment for Wednesday is to create a "quiz" using at least 10 terms that were explained in the video.

Science 8

Today we finished our disease presentations. Nice Job Eighth Graders! We also reviewed the Venn Diagram assignment due on Monday.

Remember the field trip forms were due on Monday...please bring them in ASAP!
The chapter 2 test is scheduled for Friday, March 7th

Literature 8

We discussed the end of the book and completed a story map dealing with the last 4 chapters. The students were asked to complete questions from chapters 12-15 and a close activity.
The Pigman test is scheduled for Thursday.

7TH GRADE FRENCH

WELCOME TO THE WEEK OF MARCH 3. PROGRESS REPORTS QUARTER 3 WERE DUE YESTERDAY. THIS WEEK BOTH SECTIONS OF FRENCH (WHICH MEET EVERY OTHER DAY) WILL HAVE A NUMBER QUIZ FOR GRADE. PRACTICE OF LISTENING SKILLS AND PRONUNCIATION WILL BE THE QUIZ REVIEW WITH FLASH CARDS IN CLASS. MADAME COE.
