English/Lit 7

English *
Today we turned in the final drafts of the Internet research paper! I'm sure many students were excited to be done and turn in the completed product!

Literature *
We discussed our characterization & setting quizzes. Students have the option to retake this quiz all week. They just need to let me know when they will be coming in and they can have another shot at it. I am hoping that many students will take me up on this offer and not just settle for a "passing" grade.

We also discussed and worked a little more with plot order (chronological & flashback) as well as foreshadowing.

Science 8

Disease presentations began today. I was very impressed with some of the creative ways the students shared their research. We plan to finish presenting on Tuesday.

The students were asked to turn in their Virus/Bacteria Venn Diagram today at the start of class.
Other Reminders:

All Milwaukee Public Museum trip money and permission slips were due today. Please send in slips ASAP. The museum requires us to pay at least two weeks in advance to reserve our spot. This truly is a wonderful opportunity for our students.

The Chapter Two test is scheduled for Friday. 3-7-08
