We watched an episode (or part of an episode) of Storm Chasers from the Discovery Channel. It's a great show that talks about the power and language of tornadoes - just like we're doing in class. Today they were able to see baseball size hail fall and the impact of tornadoes!

For tomorrow, # 13 - 22 are due.

English/Literature 7

English -
We will be discussing the first poem we are going to write: Acrostic poetry.
Students need to turn in vocabulary #1 - 7 review tomorrow before their short quiz.

Literature -
We have begun breaking down plot using children's books. Yesterday we had a great time with the "Sneetches." We are using the children's books so we can get the hang of it before we move on to a full novel.
Students need to complete their House on Mango Street final project by Monday, November 17th.
