This week there are three days of testing so we will not have vocabulary. Monday, you will receive the outline for your essay and you should work on that throughout the week. The outline will be due Monday, Nov. 17th. If you have any questions, please come see me before or after school.

Friday we will be going to the library and books are due that day so remember to bring them!

Science 8

We began chapter two today. I assigned independent study work due to the W.K.C.E. testing schedule. All students should complete their work by Friday...at the start of class. We did Chapter 2.1 together. If students plan and use work time properly there should be little to no outside of class work time needed.

Science 7

Today due to operator confusion ;) we had a change in plans. We reviewed the events from Friday and that lead right into the reading of section 2.5, Precipitation. Students were actively involved in discussions! There was an assignment, pg 65 the section 5 assessment. Students were given class time to complete this, most finished. If not, it is due tomorrow in their notebooks.

Social Studies 7

Today students completed readings 4-9 in needed. We then discussed the readings and corrected the assignments from readings 1 to reading 9.

State Testing Week

W.K.C.E. testing begins tomorrow. Make sure to get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and try your best!

Testing will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during morning classes.

Literature 8

We took the book test today. The students were allowed to use their character charts as notes. We will watch the movie...a 1945 Black & White classic account of the story on Friday.

FYI...I will not have literature classes Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday due to the WKCE testing. Classes will resume on Friday.

Special Announcement

All this week, November 10-14, homerooms will be participating in the Student Council Food Drive. Each homeroom has been assigned a specific item to collect. They are as follows:
