Science 7

Today was a Nature Area Workday!

Language Arts - 8 (4/28-5/2)

This week we are spending all of our time in the library researching. By today, you should have showed me that you were able to find three sources. The rest of the week will be dedicated to taking noted in the library and by Friday you should have five pages of written notes. Remember, you need to take all three types of notes: direct quote, paraphrase, and summary.

Algebra

Lesson 10-3, part 2. Pages 593-596. Problems 36-42, 47-50, 56-58, 65, 70,75,80, 81 and quiz 1 1-17. Quiz tomorrow.

7th Grade Math

Lesson 11-5, pages 491-492. Problems 8-21 and 23-27.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 11-8, pages 550-551. Problems 8-25, 27-28. Test on Friday, Quiz on Thursday and note grade on Friday.

Science 8

Angiosperms notes today.
Students worked on a monocot and dicot chart as well as prepared for tomorrow's flower dissection by learning the parts and function of a flower.

Literature 8

We continue to watch the movie for the books we have read

Applied Math

Lesson 74 - Fractional and Decimal Parts of a Number, Part 1

Assignment: Quiz 74 (open book), p. 331 a-d, and p. 332 8-13
Extra Credit Option: p. 332 #15-30

Social Studies 8

Notes on Section 2 - Americans Prepare for War
Assignment: Read Section 3 p. 730-734 and do the Section 3 (23.3) Worksheet

The Chapter 23 Test will be next Tuesday, May 6.

7TH GRADE FRENCH

WELCOME TO THE WEEK OF APRIL 28. CLASSES WILL CELEBRATE THE FRENCH LABOR DAY THIS WEEK WED. & THURS. THE ACTUAL FETE DU TRAVAIL IS MAY 1, BUT SINCE FRENCH MEETS EVERY OTHER DAY, YOUR CHILD WILL REMEMBER A TREAT TO SHARE EITHER FOR WED. OR THURS. THE GEOGRAPHY QUIZZES WERE HANDED BACK AND DISCUSSED THIS WEEK. ACTIVITY IN PROGRESS IS WORKING ON A FRENCH FLAG COLLAGE.
