Algebra

Lesson 2.8 part 2. Pages 118-120. Problems 26-34 and 39-57. Quiz 3, problems 1-21. Chapter two test and note grade on Thursday.

Science 8

Osmosis/Diffusion/cell membrane discussion & reading. The students were assigned a pre-lab vocabulary sheet and osmosis questions. Due Wednesday.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 2-9, pages 106-107. Problems 13-41 and 41-50. Quiz tomorrow, test and note grade on Thursday.

Literature 8

We added information/clues to our character chart and read chapter 6.

No homework!

Science 7

We continued our discussion on the Wind (sea breeze, land breeze, horse latitudes, jet streams, etc). Students also corrected the Wind section summary in class today.

The students were given the following pieces to use as study guides for the TEST on THURSDAY (items need to be turned back in on Thursday before the test):

1. Heat Transfer GRS 2.2
2. Vocabulary cards for Heat Transfer and Wind
3. Wind Summary
4. Wind GRS 2.3

Social Studies 7

In social studies today, the students had a presentation from Mrs. Topel and Mrs. Wilems. We did not have a chance to review for the test, so the test will be on Thursday 10/23/08.

Today students learned how to make predictions using line graphs and scatter plots.

Chapter 5 Test

**Grade sheets were updated today - there are lots of missing assignments that can be completed and turned in to improve quarter grades.
