Make sure you bring workout clothes and shoes for Tae-Bo on Thursday!! We will be monitoring target heart rate zones.

Applied Math 8

Lesson 4-2: Solving Addition and Subtraction Equations
HW: p. 159 #11-36

Progress report grades will be submitted on Friday, so all absent/missing work must be turned in by then or it will be reflected as zeros on the progress report.

Applied Math 7

Lesson 41 - Ratio.
New Problems and Word Problems were worked through as a class. Computation problems (including fractions and decimals) were assigned to be worked on independently in class, checked, corrected, and corrections checked before submitting.
You might have homework today if you didn't get all the way through the lesson before the end of the hour.

Social Studies 8

Map Review.
Mr. Whitmore offerred an extra credit opportunity for students: Students may go to the IMC to look at an article in the newest National Geographic (not yet available for checkout) and summarize the article about the treatment of women in Afghanistan as well as what the women there are doing to fight for their rights.
Extra Credit must be turned in by Friday if it is to be reflected on progress report grades, but will be accepted after Friday as well.
Our newest project was introduced today. Students will be making short (5 minute max.) documentaries about a topic in South or Southwest Asia. Today we chose groups and topics and got notes out our textbooks. Starting tomorrow we will be going to the computer lab.
Students who did not turn in the written response that was due today will not be allowed to work on this project until their response is turned in.
Remember, progress report grades will be submitted on Friday, so make sure all your work is turned in.

Science 8 - Francoeur

Continued construcion of our DNA models. Make sure to bring them to class tomorrow since we will be using them for the replication portion of our lab.
