Health 7

Students watched a video on refusal skills and then performed skits demonstrating refusal skills.

Assignment:
Complete the Peer Pressure Parent Interview. NO information obtained from interview will be shared in class.

Health 8

Students took notes on the energy balance equation today in class. Students must complete Burn those Calories for homework.

Science 8


Chromatography lab and DNA origami were finished up today.

A quiz on chapter two is scheduled for Wednesday...all notes allowed!

Literature 8


The movie continues...

Algebra

Lesson 3.7, pages 177-178. Problems 11-35 and 40-44.

7th Grade Math

Lesson 3-7, pages 140-141. Problems 11-36 and 40-49. Quiz Wednesday, test and notes on Thursday.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 3-6, pages 144-145. Problems 10-23 and 26-30. Quiz Wednesday, test and notes on Thursday.

Science 7

We began reviewing for our test on Wednesday. The students worked with a partner on a review sheet that encompasses all three sections that the test will be on. This assignment is due tomorrow, but most students finished in the class time provided.

Social Studies 7

To continue with our Sociology Unit, the students worked on an in class assignment with a partner ( a crossword puzzle).

Applied Math 7

Reducing Fractions, Part 2
Assignment: complete the Lesson 28 worksheet
Grade sheets for 2nd quarter were posted.

Applied Math 8

2-8 Packet due at the end of class today.
Review for Chapter 2 Test, in book p. 96-98 due at the end of class tomorrow (Tuesday)
Grade Sheets for 2nd Quarter were posted

Social Studies 8

Today grade sheets were posted with 2nd quarter grades - any missing assignment (be it late or due to an absence) is being recorded as a 0 (zero) until it is turned in. Students can bring their grades up by turning in these assignments. This way, students have a more realistic view of their grade should they choose not to turn something in.
Today was the Chapter 7 quiz.
Assignment: Read Chapter 8, Sections 1-2 (p. 231-243) and complete the note packet

Language Arts - 8 (11/17-11/20)

This week we will be in the computer lab typing our essay that we have already outlined. The rough draft is due by the end of the hour Wednesday, and the peer-editted copy is due Thursday. After corrections are made, the essay is due by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 25th.
