We started our chapter presentations today - Yippee!!! Over the past 2 1/2 weeks the students have been working in groups to present and teach a topic (earthquakes, volcanoes, minerals, or rocks). They have been working very hard, and using the calendar schedule that I gave them, a majority of them have turned in all of the required parts. Now, they just have to present:)
Today, the Earthquake groups began and they will take the remainder of the week. Those groups will give a short "quiz" on Thursday.
When we come back from spring break, Plate Tectonics and Volcanoes will present the first week back, followed by Minerals and Rocks.

This week we are in the process of researching a famous Hispanic American. Three sources were due yesterday, and the three pages of written notes are due at the end of the hour Thursday. Since this is a long term assignment and due dates have already been established, there will be no extentions for absences. When you are absent, make sure to make up the work on your time.

There are no other assignments this week due to research.
