Science 7

Each class had a new set of teachers today! The students played the role of teacher and had to explain a topic ( thermal energy, temperature, convection, conduction, radiation, temperature scales, etc). We even had some groups plan activities for the students to do! Wind will be the topic on Monday...a continuation from the flying contraptions!

The test is still scheduled for Thursday/Friday of next week.

Social Studies 7

Students completed the Unit 3 Psychology Review. We started to correct the review in class today. Again, we are looking at a test next week. It is scheduled for Wednesday 10-22-08.
Remember...Projects and/or Reports are due next week Thursday 10-23-08

Pre-Algebra

Study guides 2-6 and 2-7 worksheets. Do the even problems. Word story and enrichment worksheet will be extra credit if student does all the problems.

Algebra

Homework: 1-8 and 1-9 worksheets along with activities 27 and 28.

7th Grade Math

Homework: Pages 568 and 569, Lesson 2-5 (1-5), Lesson 2-6 (1-4), Lesson 2-7 (1-4) and Lesson 2-8 (1-2).

Applied Math 7

Basic Facts: Addition and Subtraction
Corrected yesterday's assignment. We would have played a math game, but many students were late to class, and very chatty, so we ran out of time.
No assignment.

Applied Math 8

Basic Facts: Multiplication and Division
Assignment: 1-2 Word Problems (only 6!)

Health 7

Discussed the short and long term useof tobacco and marijuana. Students viewed a video on some of the effects of marijuana.
Assignment:
Read handouts on smoking and marijuana.

Health 8

Students worked on their nutrition packets for pp. 42-53 in class.
Assignment:
Health goal check-up sheet is due on Tuesday.

Extra-credit was lso made available for students who wish to complete it.

Social Studies 8

Today we reviewed locations and features on the U.S. map - remember the Map Quiz is on Monday!!
We reveiwed Chapter 5 for the test which is on Tuesday.
Asssignment: Chapter 5 Vocab worksheet, continue working on the Chapter 5 review on p. 152 (due Tuesday)

Science 8

The completed cell brochures were used as notes today for a quiz on cells. Hope they all did well.
No Homework!

Literature 8

We read chapter 4 today in class.

Predictions were made of the order of each future victim's death.

A review assignment for chapter 3-4 was assigned. Due Monday.
