Sorry for the inconsistency of postings! I vow to do a better job.
*English--
Students have been diligently working on rough drafts of their technical writing. We did some peer evaluating in class today. This helped the students see what other students are doing, but also helped generate some ideas and led them to better understand the expectations. From what I've seen, these are turning out fantastic and are going to be quite entertaining to read!
If students have not finished a rough draft, they are expected to do so by Monday, March 17.
*Literature--
We have been moving along in the novel Freak the Mighty. Many students are doing a great job following along and completing the study guide. No homework in this class.

Applied Math
Lesson 59 - Multiplying Rates
Students were introduced to the project they will be completing before spring break. Expectations and directions were handed out today. Partners were chosen, and work began on writing math stories. These stories will be due March 19 for 8th graders, and March 20 for 7th graders (different due dates because of the field trips going on that week). No late projects will be accepted, however, extensions may be given if students show a substantial amount of work is already done by the due date.
