English -
  • We will be finishing the short story "The Tell-Tale Heart" in class. We will be making connections to our "scary story characteristics" graphic organizer that we have been developing in class.
  • The students will synthesize the information learned about Edgar Allan Poe and "The Tell-Tale Heart" by completing an acrostic poem or comic strip project.

  • We are moving through The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. The students will be reading various chapters throughout the week and responding to discussion questions while working in small groups. These questions are designed to allow the students to critically think about the novel and their own lives while answering questions that do not technically have a "right" or "wrong" answer.
