Social Studies 8


Today we reviewed features and locations on the United States map. We discussed Section 4 about the government and economy of the United States.

Assignment: Chapter 5 Skillbuilder/Map packet due tomorrow. Note Check tomorrow - you should have 4 study guides and 4 overhead worksheets completed for credit.

***The Chapter 5 Review (p.152) will be due on Tuesday.

Literature 8


We corrected the Chapter 1 & 2 review assignment. We read chapter three together in class.

No homework!

Science 8

Last work day to complete the cell brochure...due at the end of classes. The students can expect a quiz tomorrow.

7th Grade Math

Lesson 2-8, pages 94-95. Problems 7-13 and 15-24.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 2-7 page 621, problems 1-27. Check your solutions.

Science 7


We discussed Heat Transfer in class and also corrected the GRS 2.2. Students joined in groups and will become the teachers tomorrow in class. They are to, as a group, provide information to us, the students, about temperature scales, varying freezing points between degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit, thermometers, convection, radiation, etc. Stay tuned for the results in tomorrow's post!

Algebra

Homework: Page 105, problems 80-85. Pages 112-113, problems 52-60 even, 62-70 and 76-100 even.

Social Studies 7

Students worked on the review packet for unit 3 -psychology. Most classes worked on this in class, Mrs. Moran's class took the remaining work home for homework. We will be working on reviewing as there will be a test next week Tuesday 10/21/08 on unit 3.
Students all received an information sheet about project(s) that can be completed. As a reminder, the syllabus stated that in order to earn an A in the class, a project has to be completed! This is also an opportunity to improve your overall grade by completing a project. The students were shown examples in class.
