Social Studies 7

Students completed the review of the History Unit. There will be a quiz on this material tomorrow.

Science 7

Students took part in a lab about reading a road map.

Language Arts (3/10-3/14)

This week we received our new list of vocabulary words that describe aspects of strength and defense and they will help us better understand how individuals and groups try to assure their own safety. As always, the packets are due Wednesday and there will be a quiz on Thursday.

Group numbers 3-5 will be doing their research in the library this week. By the end of the week, all groups need to be finished with research and begin working on their newscast presentation. The presentations will be March 18th and 19th.

By Wednesday, everyone is to be finished with Black Star, Bright Dawn and we will be discussing and handing in the study guides for chapters 10-20.

Algebra

Lesson 8.3 Part 2. Pages 467-469. Problems53-59, 67-85 and quiz 1, 1-24. Quiz tomorrow.

7th grade math

Students work with the percent proportion. They were looking for missing pieces, either the part, base, or percent. Homework: Lesson 7-8, page 325. Problems 7-22 and 24-28. Quiz on Thursday, test on Friday along with a note grade.

Pre-Algebra

Mid-chapter practice, page 490. Problems 1-20. Worksheet 10-3, both sides. Test, quiz, and notes tomorrow.

Applied Math

Review of Rates using student-designed problems.
Lesson 57 - Percents
Assignment: p. 259-260 Practice Problems - #8

Social Studies 8

Students reviewed Chapter 4, Section 3. Notes on Chapter 4, Section 4.
No assignment.
Students will meet in the IMC tomorrow to continue presentation research.

Health 7

Today in class students discussed the short and long term physical, mental and social effects of tobacco and marijuana. Students received fact sheets to read over outside of class.

Health 8

Students should be working on their semester health goal and discussing progress with their accountability partners.
Today in class students learned about soft tissue injuries (wounds and burns) and how to control bleeding. No homework.
