Lesson 7.2, pages 408-409. Problems 14-44 even, 35, 48-51, 55, 60, 65, 68.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 9-2, pages 428-429. Problems 6-11 and 15-16.

Science 8

A Chapter two review took place today. I summarized the chapter and we then played Vocabulary Bingo.
The test is tomorrow. The students may use the vocabulary terms they defined on the test as notes.
I also provided an optional extra credit assignment: Pgs. 69-70 (1-21). This will help them review the chapter too!

Literature 8

We began "And Then There Were None" today. Each student was given a character chart to keep pace with the story and events as they occur.

HOMEWORK: Read the rest of chapter 1 and fill in the character names.

Applied Math 7

Lesson 5-7: Least Common Multiple (LCM). We learned two methods for this... either is fine as long as work is shown.
Assignment: p. 225-226 #4-20 AND p. 576 #1-28 for Lesson 5-7

Health 7

Students worked on a review sheet and studied for their Communication Unit Test on Wednesday (B-day) and Thursday (A-day).

We made corrections to the Body's Transport System & A Closer Look at Blood Vessels handouts.

Test on Wednesday (B-day) and Thursday (A-day). Students will have to identify muscles and bones on the test. Test will cover pp. 12-19, 24-28, 78-89 in the text.

Social Studies 8

Today students worked in groups to create mini-posters that compare and contrast the economies, populations, and military advantages/disadvantages of the North and the South prior to the Civil War.

Assignment: Read p. 476 - 477 and be able to EXPLAIN the Wilmont Proviso and Popular Sovreignty
