Algebra

Lesson 8.3 part 1, pages 466-467. Problems 19-52. Quiz and test Wednesday.

7th grade math

Lesson 7-7, page 321. Problems 9-23 and 25-31. Quiz on Thursday and test on Friday.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 10-3, pages 480-481. Problems 7-19 and 22-29. Test and quiz on Wednesday.

Literature 8

Our unit on The Pigman is finished. Today we started reading a short story called Contagion. We will continue reading this story tomorrow during class.

Science 8

The chapter 2 test is tomorrow. In preparation for that we did a review activity and played Bingo to review the definitions. There are 2 diagrams on the test: Viral replication and a Bacteria cell.

Applied Math

Lesson 56: Rates
Today we discussed and practiced with rates. We learned that rates are a type of ratio, and that certain formulas can be used to find specific rates, such as mileage or speed.
Assignment: (due tomorrow)
Students need to write and illustrate 3 different rate problems.
1. for speed
2. for mileage
3. for an exchange rate

*Today's tip: choose numbers that divide evenly and make sure you are asking a question in each problem, not just giving out information!!*

On a seperate piece of paper, include
1. the formula needed to solve each problem
2. the steps in solving each problem
3 the correct answer for each problem

Social Studies 8

Today we began researching for our presentations. Students also received a copy of the rubric which they will be graded with. Overall, students worked very hard and accomplished a lot today!

Health 7

Today in health class we discussed the short and long term physical, mental and social effects of tobacco and marijuana use. Students received a facts sheet they need to read over.

Health 8

Students should be working on semester health goal and discussing progress with their accountability partner.
Today in class we focused on care for wounds and controlling bleeding. No homework.

7TH GRADE FRENCH

WELCOME TO THE WEEK OF MARCH 10. LAST WEEK WE TESTED OUR KNOWLEDGE OF SINGLE DIGIT NUMBERS. THIS WEEK WE WILL HAVE A NUMBER QUIZ ON DOUBLE DIGIT NUMBERS FOR GRADE. AS ALWAYS, WE PRACTICE LISTENING AND PRONUNCIATION SKILLS IN CLASS. CLASS PARTICIPATION COUNTS TOWARDS AN EFFORT GRADE. MADAME COE.
