Science 8

Disease Vocabulary was due today. It was our last workday to complete our disease projects. Presentations begin on Monday. The students also began working on a Venn Diagram comparing Viruses and Bacteria. The diagram needs to be finished on Monday.

Literature 8

We shared our predictions for the end of The Pigman. The students had some really interesting ideas for the end of the book. It was fun to listen to them all.
Read chapters 12-13 for Monday.

Algebra

Students fininshed Chapter 7 test. No homework.

7th Grade Math

Students took Mid-Chapter 7 test and quiz. No homework.

Pre-Algebra

Page 640, Lesson 10-1 practice. Problems 1-30.

Social Studies 7

Students are completing their History Short report which is due on Monday. Please note that the Progress Report being sent home next week will not reflect the grade on the report. This grade will be reflected on the grade for the Third Quarter. The grade earned with this report can significantly change the overall grade in Social Studies.

Science 7

Students completed the written Rock Test in class today. Any extra credit that would be applied to the 3rd Quarter Progress Report was due at the end of the day today.

Applied Math

Short review of exponents.
Basic facts for multiplication and division.

Wednesday (when Ms. Francoeur gets back) we will have a review for the test on Thursday of next week.

Social Studies 8

We finished Chapter 3 (hooray!).

Assignment: Section 5 packet - due Monday

Since Ms. Francoeur will be attending conferences Monday and Tuesday next week, we discussed the expectations for behavior when a substitute teacher is present. Students were also informed of the work they can expect. On Monday, students will be given the study guide for the test. They will have all hour to work on it, and are expected to use their time to STUDY rather than visit. Students will be allowed to use their study guides on the Chapter 3 Test which will be on Tuesday.
