Pre-Algebra

Lesson 6-2, pages 264-265. Problems 10-32 and 34-30.

7th Grade-Mr. Smith

Lesson 6-2, pages 246-247. Problems 15-41 and 43-48.

Algebra

Lesson 6.2, pages 343-345. Problems 16-34 evens, 37, 39, 43-51, 55, 60, 61, 64, 65.

Science 8

We reviewed Living Things characteristics. We also discussed the needs of living things as well as spontaneous generation. A review of Chapter 1.1 was assigned.

Literature 8

Today our Genre assignment was turned in. We reviewed what a "plot" was and listened to The Open Window by Saki. A review sheet was assigned.

Science 7

Today 3.1 Changing Earth's Surface key terms/concepts were due.
Students finished working in groups today, creating a fable/story that can explain the natural phenomenon of mass movement (landslide, mudflow, slump, or creep). Students shared their stories/explanations in class. We also watched a brief national geographic video clip on landslides.
Remember, due for tomorrow, students need to bring their test back signed (or a note).

Math 7 (Moran)

Lesson 6-3, pgs. 248-251, #'s 15-34 and 44-54.
Mid-Chapter 6 Test on Wednesday 2-3-10.

Social Studies 8

Reviewed information about the economies of the 13 original colonies. Took notes on life in the colonies, including government, trade, and the French and Indian War.
Assignment: Life in the Colonies Worksheet and Maps due tomorrow.

Applied Math 7

Lesson 59: Multiplying Rates
The lesson was completed and submitted in class.

Applied Math 8

Corrected yesterday's reducing worksheet.
Assignment: 5-3 Packet

Health 8

Students created a human skeleton in class.

Health 7

Students reviewed communication styles and engaged in an activity on communicating with our senses.
