Social Studies 8

Students had the entire period to complete their Civil War Timelines. These were due at the end of the hour. Students who did not complete their timelines will need to figure out a time to complete and print them on their own. There is no more class time scheduled for this project.

Ms. Francoeur will be at a conference next Monday and Tuesday (March 16-17). Social Studies students will be viewing an A&E Biography on Abraham Lincoln and completing a study guide. This study guide will be graded, so what you put down is important. Obnoxious behavior when a sub is present will result in Ms. Francoeur's wrath upon her return....so be good! =)

Science 7

We are continuing with our discussion about JASON. We have been learning about right whales and the interferences of noise pollution and human involvment. Today the students began working in groups to design a PSA (Public Service Announcement) about a specific threatened or endangered animal. The student will be writing and script and preforming/taping their commercial. They may need to do brief research this weekend about their choosen animal.
As a reminder...
*Permission slips for JASON and Titanic are DUE MONDAY 3/16/09
*Sturgeon EC is due on Monday 3/16/09,
*Chapter 4 assignment is due on TUESDAY 3/17/09.
Have a great weekend!
