The Family and Consumer Ed classes (hours 2 & 3) are studying eating disorders.

Hour one is finalizing their menu and setting up committees for their restaurant simulation.

Seventh Grade Family and Consumer Education

The students have been studying about how they can earn money as a seventh grader. They are now working on ads for jobs that they would like to have. These ads will be on display at conferences.
The pillows that they made in class will also be in the display case during conferences.

Whew! Today we sorted through all the papers/tests/projects/etc. and organized them into individual folders. These folders will be kept in my room and will contain the quarter's work. They will be available at conferences and students will be able to take all the work home after the quarter is over.

Also, in class, students watched themselves on video during their flying contraption test flights :)

Have a great weekend....and make good choices!!

Social Studies 7

The tests were corrected and passed back to the students so that they could see their score. Students who earned 80% or less are required to complete the Unit 3 Psychology packet. It must be done by Monday!!! Other than that, no homework.

Science 8

Our lab work continued!
Many of the labs are finished. Each day next week should allow for a bit of time to "tie up any loose ends"
Showcase starts Monday. I cannot wait to see the various projects your children have been working on!

Literature 8

Today we discussed the reading of Chapter 8. We read chapter nine...a quiz on chapters1-9 is planned for Monday!

Social Studies 8

Review of Chapter 6, Section 2: the regional differences, diversity, and history of Canada.

Reviewed the location of Canada's provinces on the overhead (thanks, Mrs. Moran, for letting us borrow yours!). Classes who review features loud enough to have someone from a different class come down to our class to ask us to be quiet earn extra credit points! Classes must tell "the complainer" why we are being so loud - example: we are reviewing the provinces of Canada!

Assignment: Complete the Chapter 6 Map & Graph/Skillbuilder packet - due Monday, no book required

Language Arts - 8

Reminder: Voice packets need to be finished before class on Monday.
