Literature 8

We corrected our vocabulary crossword and character connection assignment. We read chapters 9 and most of 10 in class. The students were asked to read the rest of Chapter 10 for homework.

Science 8

Today we had more time in the computer lab. Most students are creating a slide show using Power Point. Research, at this time, should be complete. Project and definitions are due on Friday. Presentations are on Monday.

7th grade math

Taught students how to solve proportions. Homework is lesson 7-3, pages 299-300. Problems 16-46 and 48-56. Mid chapter test and quiz on Friday.

Pre-Algebra

Went over chapter six review. Handed out quiz and practice test for students to use as a study guide tonight. Homework is page 309, problems 1-20. Chapter six test tomorrow with note check.

Algebra

Went over several problems from yesterday's homework. Handed out the quiz and made it a take-home quiz. Chapter seven test and notes is on Thursday.

Health 7: Week at a Glance (2/25-2/29)

Week at a Glance:

2/25 & 2/26 Students learn what an "I-statement" is and how to use it. Students learn constructive and destructive ways to handle anger. Students should complete How You Handle Anger? / I-Messages worksheet (due 2/27/28)

2/27 &28 Students learn steps to conflict resolution. Pairs of students will be issued a conflict situation in which they must use the steps to resolve the conflict and then role play how they handled the conflict.

2/29 Review for Communication Unit Test next week.

Test for B-day is on Tuesday, 3/4. Test for A-day is on Wednesday, 3/5.

Health 8

Week at a Glance:
2/25 & 26 Students will learn the signals of a heart attack, chain of response and practice adult CPR.
2/27 & 28 Students will learn and practice care for an unconscious choking adult.
2/29 & 3/3 Students will review skills for adult care and complete a review puzzle for written test on 3/4 & 3/5.

Social Studies 7

Students who completed the History Short Report Outline worked on the rough draft of their report.

Science 7

Students reviewed all the different types of rocks in preparation for the lab test on Thursday and the written test on Friday. The Rock Cycle was also covered today in class.

Applied Math

Extra Credit was available

Social Studies 8

Quiz on Sections 2 and 3 of Chapter 3

Students read p. 90-95 and took notes.
