My apologies for forgetting to complete the blog yesterday! Both classes reviewed and discussed our book choices. Each hour chose a different book. Make sure you check the appropriate hour for assignments in the future.
First Hour: The Pigman...We read an article about the author and his motivation for the story.
Second Hour: And Then There Were None...We discussed mysteries, the author and made some predictions.

Social Studies 8
Reviewed previously covered material in preparation for the American Revolution Test on Monday, February 8.
Students were given background information on the Declaration of Independence including thoughts and concepts behind the declaration, as well as the three main points, and an explanation of a "social contract."
Homework: Students need to read the Declaration of Independence (annotated paper copies were given to each student, and it can also be found in their books) and prepare for a discussion on the declaration tomorrow by completing the Questions for Contemplation found in their blue packets.
