Science 8

We finished our metric unit posters. With no homework again...students should be using this time to finish the prefix C list...due Friday!

Literature 8

We finished reading chapter 1.

Pre-Algebra

Page 618, lessons 1-8 and 1-9. 2-20 even on 1-8. 2-30 even on 1-9. Quiz tomorrow and test on Friday.

7th Grade Math-Mr. Smith

Page 566 lesson 1-8 and 1-9. 2-20 evens on 1-8 and 2-30 even on 1-9. Quiz tomorrow and test on Friday.

Algebra

Students took chapter one test. No homework.

Language Arts 7

The students were exploring the life of Edgar Allan Poe on the following website:

The students had class work time; however, some students may still have homework.

The following questions are due at the beginning of the hour.
  • Write down 8 new or interesting things you have learned about Edgar Allan Poe
  • Based on what you now know about his life, explain why Poe may have chosen to write in his particular style and why he focused on the genre of mystery/suspense stories
  • Explain a piece of writing that you have done in the past that was based on personal experiences. What was this writing about? Why did you choose to write about these particular experiences?

Social Studies 8

Passed back graded Canada packets, Canada Quizzes, and Canada Map Tests.
Labeled physical features on the map of Latin America
Students labeled Latin American countries and completed the list of countries and capitals in the region.
The Latin America Map Test will be next Tuesday (9/29). Students will need to be able to correctly spell the capital cities.
