Science 8 - Francoeur
1st Hour - Since 1/3 of the class had not completed their study guide for section 3, time was given in class in order to complete this assignment. We then went over the study guide and important information from section 3 that will be on next week's test. Students should make sure to copy down the notes from the board for use on the test.
8th Hour - We reviewed and discussed Section 3 - make sure you have all the notes from the board down. We also went over information that will be on next week's test. With the remaining time in the hour students participated in "Meiosis in Motion" where they acted out the process of Meiosis.
Prefix Lists are due on Friday. There will be a quiz on prefixes and meanings on Friday also.

Review of East Asia maps. Test next Wednesday.
Introduced the Cultural Comparison project. Students will pick a country from the map packet and then pick a part of the culture to compare with the U.S. - sports, food, holidays, past-times etc. Some students may choose to use their epals as a resource. Additional research may be required. Students will be creating 11x17 posters to compare and contrast the cultural item of their choice.
Computer lab time today for students to communicate with epals and/or use the internet for research.
