Science 7

Today we finally were able to go outside and test our flying contraptions/apparatuses! It was interesting to see which designs were overall successful and what alterations were made on the spot to improve the gaining or sustaining of altitude :) Flying Rationales need to be turned in tomorrow!

**Remember, quarter 1 ends on FRIDAY! So, make sure to turn in missing work by Thursday 11/5/09!

7th Grade Math (Moran)

Tonight's assignment is extra practice, from the back section of the book. Students are to complete Lesson 3-1 (problems 1-22) and Lesson 3-2 (problems 1-22). The pages are 569 and 570.

Lesson 3-3, pages 114-115. Problems 9-40 and 44-52. Mid-chapter 3 test and quiz on Wednesday.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 3-1, pages 118-119. Problems 14-41 and 49-56. Mid-chapter 3 test and quiz on Friday.

Lesson 3.4 Part 1. Page 157, problems 2-40 even. Mid-chapter 3 test on Friday.

Health 7

We discussed dating, dating abuse, and harassment in class. Dating interview due on Wednesday.
Quarter ends on Friday. All missing work needs to be in by Wednesday to receive credit.

Students read pp.60-65, completed study guide and labeled the digestive system model.
Quarter ends on Friday so all missing work needs to be turned in by Wednesday to receive credit.

Science 8

Introduction to Osmosis/ Diffusion and transport. Students read an article and their book to compare and find terms needed for tomorrows lab.

Our chapter one test is scheduled for Friday...Topics include: Cell Theory, Cell structures and functions, Organic compounds and Osmosis/diffusion.

Literature 8

We continued the movie...no homework.
