Today we reviewed the short story "Flowers for Algernon". Each student filled in a story map and was assigned questions from page 74 (a-e).
Quiz on part II is tomorrow...we will then begin watching the movie.

Science 8

Today we corrected our metric practice sheet and had some extra conversion practice playing Metric War card game.
Quiz chapter 2 is tomorrow...all worksheets are allowed as notes.

I will be gone at a conference tomorrow...all students should plan on taking the quiz as it doesn't cover any new information. Students can expect an assignment tomorrow after the quiz and should be on their best behavior.

Algebra

Lesson 2.1, pages 67-69. Problems 28-52 even and 54-78 all.

7th Grade Math

Lesson 2-2, pages 62-63. Problems 5-6, 8-13, 15-22.

Pre-Algebra

Lesson 2-2, pages 69-70. Problems 12-33 and 37-41.

Social Studies 8

Reviewed for the Chapter 3 Test tomorrow!

Assignment: Complete the Chapter 3 Review (p. 84 #1-25), Chapter 3 Vocabulary Worksheet, and practice extended responses for the test tomorrow.

There will be 2 extended response questions on the test. Four possibilities for questions are

1. What factors affect population distribution?

2. How can studying government, geography, and history help people from different regions to understand each other?

3. What evidence have you seen of cultural diversity in the United States?

4. Is the United States a developed or developing country? Explain.
