Applied Math 8
We re-learned Lesson 6-5. Yesterday's assignments were due today at the end of the hour. Today's assignment is the 6-5 packet.
Social Studies 8
Students began work on the Civil War Portrait Assignment. This will result in a one-page mini biography about a person related to the Civil War. Each hour's projects will then be made into a book to share. Class time today and tomorrow will be spent researching the people and writing the rough draft. Final drafts are due Friday, at the end of the hour. Plagiarizing will not be accepted in any way, shape, or form. Students were made extremely aware of this today. ANY plagiarizing by students will result in a zero (0) grade.

Students read an article on Exercise and Sports Safety in class and need to complete the summary questions.
Students should continue working on their fitness plan which is due next week.
Final journal entry due on Friday. Students must have the Health Goal Project Summary Questions answered in their journal.

Science 8
We corrected the chapter 4.1 review assignment. Brief notes on photosynthesis as we covered this topic earlier in the year.
I assigned the students to illustrate photosynthesis showing they understand the process and where it takes place.
