The rest of this week, students will be learning about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Today in class students learned that the Articles of Confederation was our first attempt at setting up a national (federal) government, but this document did not give enough power to the national government to be effective, resulting in the Constitution. Students also learned about the origins of the Constitution.
Homework: Students need to complete the Green vocabulary sheet and read the Constitution, Articles I-III (starting on p. 188 in their books) for tomorrow.
